Ainsley Hansen is the Creative Director of Australian fashion label Hansen & Gretel, a widely stocked boutique brand across Australia that expanded internationally in 2022. Hansen’s design ethos embodies a distinct ‘femininity with bite’ sharp, uncomplicated silhouettes designed to complement the female form, often underscored with a subtle boyish edge.

The name Hansen & Gretel reflects this balance of masculine and feminine energy a yin and yang. ‘Hansen’ is a nod to the designer’s father and represents the brand’s mannish influence, while ‘Gretel’ speaks to womanhood: the girl, the sister, and the evolving journey of women, a narrative that remains central to every collection.
